DC-6 and X-Plane 10.50

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just wanted to know if there is any problem so far with the DC-6 with this new 10.50 beta run, I understand that maybe there is no support available with betas but I'm just curious, perhaps I'll do the jump to 10.50b4 later.

Many thanks,

Alexander Colka

No official support for beta versions. It's fine if you want to try to install one. It'll probably work, but if it doesn't, you're better off reporting it to the XPL devs before coming to us.

Alex,

I made a copy of my X-Plane folder in which I have the DC-6 (with the throttles tied because I don't have enough levers on my throttle quadrant) and have updated through the betas.  B-3 borked everything after B-2 had made all the lights stay on (with big red globs).  When B-4 came out, it did not replace the big red glob on the DC-3, so I deleted that beta copy, made another copy for my betas, installed B-4, and all is good.

So, if you haven't done any betas in this run, you will probably be okay with B-4.  Be sure to make a copy and use it only for the betas in case it gets messed up again.  Right now, B-4 is great!

Sorry PMGD.  This is an X-Plane nut thing!!!  Your product is great and performs great in B-4 provided the other things don't play into it.  Not your fault.

Good luck,

John
