P3D v3.3 - FS2Crew Voice Control Not Working

Recommended Posts

I'm running a fresh install of P3D v3.3, the latest PMDG 777 and the latest FS2CREW. All downloaded fresh from their respective vendors.

The problem is that voice control in FS2CREW is not working - whenever I speak, the system does not hear me. No green bar and the first officer or FA does not respond.

I have gone through the setup with Windows speech recognition, and that system understands me just fine during voice training and testing.

I have already completely uninstalled and reinstalled FS2CREW multiple times and I have checked my speech log file - everything was successful.

Also, whenever I try to reset the audio system inside FS2CREW (which has served me well in the past), it locks up P3D which then must be closed and restarted. The same thing happens when I try to disable voice control in FS2CREW.

I should note that the same issue happens with FS2CREW NGX Reboot.

Any ideas? I've searched the internet and forums and no suggestion has helped so far.

Try updating your audio drivers.

Also, delete any unnecessary audio programs.

If you have Asus Sonic Studio, uninstall it.  It's know to cause an issue with 3rd party voice software.

Bryan,

Thank you for the reply. The audio software that came with my laptop (Nahimic) seems to be the culprit - exiting that before starting the simulator fixes the issue.

Nahimic

Glad it's working now.

Cheers,
