Had a short but very interesting 6th flight last night: It was the last one of the evening, up in one of our K13s. The cloud had already covered the summit of the local hill. My instructor released off the winch early at about 700' into cloud :Nail Biting:   which is what he'd expected and briefed me about. Once we'd got back under the cloud, the other exciting part for me was flying back around over the airfield, on the downwind and gently lining up the approach. I know it's very early days but I'd never been at the controls or turned final & lined up as low as we were. :cool: Incredible!

Interesting comment re: AS16.  Is there something official from HiFi you can link ?

 

From the AS16 product description page, under High Fidelity Air Effects. I know it may not tell you much, but my experience with the thermal modelling in AS16 was better than in ASN, for the same weather settings, specially on tests run with "custom" weather.
