I an not into flying the "Heavies" and prefer light single and twin piston aircraft.

 

Will Pilot2ATC allow me to fly VFR?

Yes,

Pilot2ATC does support VFR flights, including VFR Flight Following.

 

More refinements in this area are on the slate of improvements, but it works pretty well right now.  Of course, without flight following, as in real VFR flight, there's not much interaction with controllers.
