4K tv max resolution is only 1920x1080

Hi just got Samsung 4K tv I connected to my PC it has a 750ti card which supports 4K but the max resolution I get is 1920x1080 I have connected Dvi to vga also the picture is slightly blurred especially text

Not really impressed any suggestions please

Jim,

 

  I do not believe you are going to get max 4k resolution with that particular connection. You will need a HDMI cable with enough speed to carry the signal. Also you will need to plug it into the correct port on the computer and tv. You can do a google check for 4k HDMI requirements and or there are some posts here at AVSIM that explain the requirements for getting those nice 4K pictures. Hope this helps

Hi you are correct I connected with a hmdi 2.0 cable and now have my PC running at 4K 60hz.

Glad you resolved your issue.  Which Samsung TV did you decide on ?  I have to get a new one myself and am looking for opinions.
