How to backup Default Global Scenery scenery tiles ?

Featured Replies

Whenever I download new tiles from the X-Plane servers, using the installer / updater, I do it from a PC with a better connection to the internet than the one I have at home.

But what folders should I bring home afterwards and drop on my X-plane 10 install there in order to get the Global Scenery updated with this new tiles ?

Thanks for any hints!

Hi Jose,

its very simple with X-Plane, as there is only one folder where all the tiles of the Global Scenery reside. Namely, in the "Global Scenery" folder  (maybe not very surprising).

The "original" Global Scenery is put here:

  • /data2/X-Plane_10/Global Scenery/X-Plane 10 Global Scenery

BUT ... Lamianr wants to make your life even easier, and they have another - parallel - sub folder which contains the newer updates (and that is the one which you want to bring home!):

  • /data2/X-Plane_10/Global Scenery/Recuts 1030/
