vc opaque layer in dx10

Featured Replies

Hi Steve,

I'm trying to improve the vc night textures for razbam's ea-6b model (quite old).  in dx9, it look okay:

in dx10 mode, the instrument dials all have this white-ish opaque layer in front of them, haven't been able to figure out what's causing this (always been there in dx10 mode).  tried different settings in the dx10 fixer but nothing seems to work:

Any ideas as to what's causing this?  it must be embedded into the vc mdl but there must be a way to make it dx10 compatible...

Thanks.

Thanks Steve. I'll attempt to contact the developer but doubt they'll support any mdl update.

I tried to use modelconverterx to change the VC night texture reference in the mdl to see what's going on but wasn't able to save it off.

with the fixer set to dx9, the gauges look fine.  with the fixer set to dx9, then just setting the dx10 bit=1, the gauges look bad (same issue).
