July 22, 20169 yr I would like to upgrade my OS SSD from 128GB to 256GB, and also my 1TB HDD to a new 1TB SSD. Does anyone know what the best cloning software to get this done with on Windows 10? I've watched several youtube videos to get an idea of how it's done. Will I have to reactivate my Windows after the process is done? Will I have to do anything to get the SSD to boot into Windows again, such as resetting the MBR and such? Also does the software to clone depend on the brand of SSD/HDD you have? I currently have a crucial M4 128GB SSD that is my main OS drive with Windows 10 on it. And my 1TB HDD is a Seagate drive. July 22, 20169 yr Moderator I used this freeware software and it went smoothly cloning a Acer laptop HDD to a SSD. No revalidation of Windows 7 was necessary. Don't pay for software. Aomei is excellent and I use it for all my PC backups to a NAS box. http://www.aomeitech.com/aomei-backupper.html Ray (Cheshire, England).
