Missing GPS Track Marker

Recommended Posts

The G500/600 has a magenta ground track marker on the HSI. Was this purposely not included in the Seminole?

The Alabeo/Carenado G600 is a "lite" simulation of the real unit.

I am sure that a lot of features are missing.

A more real to life version is the Steam Gauge / GTN 750 combination.

Thanks to Flight1, we have an excellent Garmin GTN unit available to us.

I already have the Flight1 750. After analyzing the features they included in the G500, I find it hard to believe the tracking marker was intentionally left out - especially if they're offering compatibility with the 750.

I had a look and the magenta diamond marker is actually there..

It may be hiding behind the heading marker in level flight, but

if you swing the aircraft from side to side, you can see it.

And in the G600 gauge code, they use the  "GPS GROUND MAGNETIC TRACK"

variable to display it.
