If you're using Saitek controllers, use the Win 10 drivers and NOT the Saitek drivers. They're terrible.

Request: Add install option to the operation manager
I don't know about using the OC for product installs, though it does sound nice, but I have been wondering about its purpose for quite some time. It's great for installing liveries and modifying product specific options/settings, but I thought the purpose of it was to more easily roll out updates. I feel like the last several updates for the 777 and NGX required us to download a new installer from our online accounts. It'd also be nice if we could activate and deactivate our products from the OC instead of having to use the CDU. Are there any plans to incorporate the DC-6 into the OC?

Missing GPS Track Marker
I already have the Flight1 750. After analyzing the features they included in the G500, I find it hard to believe the tracking marker was intentionally left out - especially if they're offering compatibility with the 750.

The G500/600 has a magenta ground track marker on the HSI. Was this purposely not included in the Seminole?

[04JUN16] PMDG: Killing "Simmerisms" since 1997
Cowl flaps aren't just used based on OAT, it has to do with airflow over the engine. When you're taxiing, the only airflow you really have over the engine is what comes off the prop - especially taxiing downwind. When you taxi you're also at a low power setting so the engine isn't generating a lot of heat. In fact, you may want to taxi with the cowl flaps closed on a really cold day to help warm up the engine and oil prior to takeoff. A common maneuver for pilots training towards a PPL or CPL is slow flight. In slow flight you're flying at very slow airspeeds with high power settings so even at altitude where it's cold, you may still need to open the cowl flaps to manage the CHTs. I think I saw a company somewhere in California that operates one of these for couples who want to join the mile high club.

I had this problem. It was the Saitek trim wheel. Unplugged it and problem gone.

PMDG Simconnect and P3D V3 problem cause?
Are you running Windows 10? If so your issues are from a missing font, not simconnect. Search the QW forum for a link to the font download.

747v2 and Panels
Kyle is absolutely right. I was very upset when it was announced that the 777 wouldn't have 2D panels and that they were no longer being included in any future PMDG products. I had a hard time adjusting to the VC but just like Kyle said, with a little bit of patience it's just a matter of getting out of an old habit and into a new one. I love the VC now and use it exclusively in all of my aircraft - even the ones with 2D panels. PMDG still includes 2D panels for key areas like the FMC and MCP.

The leak is from Vector. I stopped using it until the next patch is released. Just stick with Global for now.

g2d.dll CTD
I appreciate the feedback. Unfortunately, completely avoiding all 2D windows isn't practical. I can't complete a single flight without getting a CTD.

g2d.dll CTD
I cannot seem to complete a single flight without getting a g2d.dll CTD. None of the posts I've found online can provide a solution. Does anyone know anything about this issue and how to troubleshoot and fix it? The only addons I'm currently running are the NGX, ASN and the Aivlasoft EFB on my client, FTX Global, and REX 4 TD w/Soft Clouds. I was getting the problem even before I reinstalled FTX Global and REX. I've also been getting the CTD with the last few NV drivers to come out. Thanks in advance for any help.

Then uncheck it and see how it affects your performance..... That'll be quicker than asking in the forum. High resolution eats up VAS, but overall performance depends on your hardware.

Since the cockpit is where you spend most of your time while flying, I would turn down other options first if your performance is suffering.

Poor Performance P3D 2.5
It's hard to tell without seeing the bios for myself, but are you sure there isn't a way to get into advanced OC options where you can adjust the multiplier and the voltage? Also, check and see if there's a bios update available for your mobo. I've never seen a bios with overclocking capability that doesn't allow you to tweak the multiplier and voltage. Then again, I only use ASUS boards so my experience is limited. Same thing with the RAM. I would manually put in your RAM frequency and timings if you're able to, and then run Prime95 and Intel burn test to check stability. Every CPU has it's own individual overclocking limits, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could get more out of your CPU and RAM. It'll boost your FPS if you can. Sandy, Ivy, and Haswell all overclock very well.

Poor Performance P3D 2.5
Turn on tesselation, turn off mipmaps, set LOD to medium, set frame limiter to unlimited, set special effects distance to medium, try 8 sample MSAA, and turn off HDR. What are you cooling your CPU with? I use the H100i and I can get 4.5GHz out of my 3570K no problem. What mobo are you using also? Is your RAM rated at 1333 or can it go faster?

ILS Offset
Who the heck sits at Atlantic Aviation in Philly until 0230 on a Saturday night? I loaded C&D on the first flight to Philly. The second one I did from PHL to LGA I just loaded the plane on the runway, set the FMS, and went. I switched to spot view after the plane touched down and noticed the spoilers didn't deploy. I don't think the AP is flaring and retarding the throttles. If I remember the correctly, the spoilers won't deploy unless the throttles are at idle and the mains are on the ground. I don't normally use the autoland so maybe something was set wrong. The spoilers did deploy once I manually retarded the throttles and engaged the thrust reversers.

Just tried RWY 13 and it was worse than Philly. I also noticed the spoilers don't deploy when the mains touch.
