Since I spend nearly all of my time in the cockpit, how is that going to be different than what we already have?

All ok here ...... Ezdok working very well for a number of years.

What I mean is the camera does not seem to be independent of the aircraft, the motion of the aircraft affects the movement of the camera. If the aircraft rolls to the right, the camera maintains its aspect on the aircraft and rolls with the aircraft in at a 1:1 ratio, like a GoPro on a stick.

 

An actual spot plane would be independent of the aircraft and the movement would be reactionary with a  slight delay in the X/Y/Z movement.
