October 18, 20169 yr Hellu guys and gals, have problems with GBpro. Spawning at Glouster (EGBJ) I found myself among trees Here is a screenshot of my custom scenery: http://prntscr.com/cvqktmand are two screenshots of the issue http://prntscr.com/cvqlur and http://prntscr.com/cvqm7u Cheers. Drago
October 18, 20169 yr Moderator It's a well known issue because at the time of generation, EGBJ wasn't tagged in OSM and the airport doesn't have any exclusion zones. In v3 and New Zealand I'm using the X-Plane airport database to work out exclusions so this problem goes away. For now, the only fix is to add exclusion zones in WED or ask the author of the airport to add them.

Could you tell me if I could use Europe mix together with GBpro, and if it is possible to use them together? Would also like to report that when I take of from London City I see Wind turbines in the middle of london (never been to london so I do not know if that is how it is supposed to be like {guess not!})! Cheers

October 19, 20169 yr Moderator Would also like to report that when I take of from London City I see Wind turbines in the middle of london (never been to london so I do not know if that is how it is supposed to be like {guess not!})! This is not surprising, the problem is that there are actually wind turbines there (they are in OSM), but they lack height information in the data. In reality they are probably no taller than a house, but they have been assigned a generic height by my generator which are used for wind farms. I was unable to find a decent open source of data for the wind turbines, so I used the crowd-sourced OSM for it. Whenever you see issues like this, the easiest and most helpful thing to do is go into OpenStreetMap and fix the problem. e.g. If you see a wind turbine which is too big, go and find it in OSM and add the height to it. This way, in the next version of the scenery it will be correct (and anyone else who uses OSM will also get the fix).

October 23, 20169 yr Tony, when you do get around to GBpro v3, is there any way that you could depict heights to include things likes chimneys and churches etc? As I've mentioned before, I'm more than happy to pay for your products. Phil
October 23, 20169 yr Moderator Not unless someone adds them into OpenStreetMap (Which is really easy). It all comes down to data, and if there isn't any then there's nothing I can do
