Why does G/S not turn to green

Recommended Posts

Good! Pay particular attention to the Descent, Approach, and Landing phases.

I ran it and it worked. The only part of the tutorial I did not understand is the "Autocruise".

Should that allow me to forward the flight to any given waypoint in oder to save time ?

How is it done ? Can you provide more details ?

Thank you

I did not understand is the "Autocruise".

See page 136 of the PMDG 777 Introduction Manual for a detailed explanation of this feature. I could explain it, but my explaination would be no different than what is in the manual. If you have any questions about it, let know.

Yes,I do and I appreciate your willingness to help.

The tutorial 1 explains ( page 79 ) but I am more confused after reading it.

My specific questions: can I forward the FSX to a certain point, either a way point or the top of descent. In other

words, after take off I intend to go to a specific way point or the top of descent. How ?

So far I went to AutoTimeCompression ON , Up to 4x

The manual says click on the left top of the chronometer which then turns green. So far,so good.

BUT: what  next???

Many times I feel these manuals  are written for people who already know.

I really appreciate your help.

The only way to speed the process up is to use a time compression beyond 4X but I would not recommend it. There is no way to forward FSX to a certain waypoint at the speed of light. It is either normal time, 2X compression, 4X compression and so on. The compression can be changed on Page 5 of PMDG Setup>Options in the FMC.
