October 26, 20169 yr ASDE-X is a system that allows ground controllers at airports to see aircraft complete with callsign etc on their radar scopes/display screens. So at airports where ASDE-X is used, flight crews need to set the transponder appropriately before taxi so the system will recognize them. That's what FS2Crew is doing for you.
