November 28, 200520 yr HelloGot an early holiday present which is the Realair Spitfire! This plane is just GREAT but I have a problem on what I think are refresh rates of my graphic card. What happens is that when I am flying along the panel starts to fall apart in pieces. If I have an outside view, the spit starts to loose its parts and the scenery starts to turn white. If I hit Alt on the keyboard the menue comes up and hitting Alt again seems to give the video card time to "catch up" and everything is OK for a couple of minutes.Any ideas, and thanks to Realair for such a fine plane.Regards,EdAthlon 2.4 gig1 gig of ramNvidia 5700 with 81.95 driver
November 28, 200520 yr This sounds like a graphics drivers problem. You have a relatively old card and are using the very latest drivers - perhaps not the best combination ?Have you tried using some earlier drivers that are more in keeping with the card ?Alastair
November 28, 200520 yr Alistair probably pinpointed the issue for you. But there's also the possiblity that it's a "render to texture" matter. If you happen to have that "on", turn it "off" and see if it solves your problem. Have fun!Jaap Verduijn.
November 28, 200520 yr I have a 5700. They do not like DirectX 9.x apparently. There are programs to roll back but you need registry cleaners as well. Also uninstalled/moved the soundcard due to possible IRQ conflict. Hope this helps.Al
November 28, 200520 yr Hi Ed,Sorry to hear that. The Spit must operate with "render to texture" enabled in Fs9 display properties. The only problems we have reported is with either old drivers or cards with minimal amounts of RAM. But I've never heard of the panel disintegrating!I know a lot of standard replies do conveniently point to "graphics drivers" but in this case I feel certain it is a driver or card problem provided you first check the render to texture option.Kind Regards,Rob Young - RealAir SimulationsPS We are available at all times if you need to e-mail for support Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page

In fact, the Spit is one of the more frame rate friendly planes that I have. I usually fly it over 3rd party mountain mesh, and go for frame rates in the 20's to 30's.As I was always someone who updated my CPU every two years, to have the best for flight simulation, I now don't even remember if I have 512 or 1024 ram. Pathetic! :D L.Adamson
November 29, 200520 yr Author I will review all of the suggestions and as Squadron Leader Rex would say, I'll try to "keep it tight, keep it tidy"!The Spit flies like a "Piece of Cake" and thanks again to Realair.Regards,Ed
