High volumn and a coordinated attack "we know who you are" on the servers knocked them out. A patch is also in the works to close a exploit in BUGS 1.0.Seems some controllers on Vatsim are spawning huge clouds of insects directed at specific aircraft.

Hi Ian,Let see if I can help. I may not be able to offer much related to MSFS, but in this one area I do have expetise as I have a teen ager, nad I'm live'n large in the hood in Indiana.A "mistake" usually has consequences. on the other hand, "bad" is usally the consequence of a mistake that has been made.In an example that you may be able to relate to (and since this is a flight forum) a aircraft in a stall is ceasing to fly. We really want this aircraft in the air! The closer we get to the ground, the more we really want this thing in the air! We pull back on the stick to make the thing go up! Someone watching you do this would say that this is a "mistake" If you are the one in the plane You are going to know that this is "bad"! The resulting chemical reaction which takes place when the plane with you in it meets with terra firma thereby returning solid matter to an organic, somewhat recyclable state would not be your "mistake"...Would it? It would be your "bad" Baiting a mouse trap after you'have already set it, is not you "mistake"...It's your "bad". Telling one's girlfriend that she has bodatious ta-ta's in front of her father is not your "mistake"...It's your "bad"(Tom, if that was in appropriate...My bad.)As I read in the forum the other day, typing the #### word in the forum is not a mistake. MAJOR BAD!!!Any way, There is your explaination. If you need anymore references you may wish to consult the "Fresh Prince of Belair" TV series Staring Will Smith if you have it there. That was the first time I heard it used and I was immediatly "down with it":-)Best regardsJan1,KINDWhen I push the button and it works, I'm happy:-)

Having no kids, and being especially allergic to teenagers (or at least my neighbor's teenagers), I do appreciate someone who is wise and experienced in these things coming to my rescue to explain that. Thank you... :)

With the Bug Splat Add-on I think FS2004 has too many limitations. One is the AI bug separation not to mention how to stop them from showing up on the TCAS. Course in some parts of the world bugs are so big that they may show up anyway. The other thing is I don't think the bug flight models are that accurate, I mean who ever saw bugs at 33,000 ft. I am hoping all these things things will be addressed in the next patch. For now I will stick with the bird strike add-on, I find that much more challenging and enjoyable, but a bit messy.

My pleasure...The least I can do for my fellow man. I congratulate you for not having any teenagers...A mind is a terrible thing to waste. I'm fighting to keep mine. When she was 12 years old I was "Daddy". When she turned 12 1/2..I was "THAT MAN":-)I 'm trying to figure out if this "Bug" thing is real. At my developement age in this hobby I am so easily lead. Half way through the thread I just had to have me one of these bugs. Why? I down loaded the wiper guage from the libray, of course!:-) Want to see if it will clean it off in a real as it gets manner. Now all I have to do is find the wind shield washer guage before I try it. Don't want smears.Best regardsJan1,KINDWhen I push the button and it works, I'm happy:-)

OK, I can stand it no longer. When, what, where are these bugs? Were they really swatted by server overload? If so, why did I not spot this file before it became mincemeat on a windscreen somewhere? Is this just a bug joke? For those of you like me who are now unable to sleep at night for lack of bugs, I remind you of Roger Long's marvellous patched edition of his legendary bug file, which was released in March 2000 and is still to be found in the library. File name morebugs.zip. Give it a go! You can create your own bugs for it if you are particular about what kind of airkill you fly with.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]
