Weird water texture problem

Featured Replies

Two pictures included here.I have a problem with water texture displayin 2D view. Here is how it looks:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/134693.jpgNow, what cures this problem in 2D view is turning the sound off, or displaying the frame rate counter (Shift-Z).Then it gets back to normal as seen here:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/134694.jpgThis problem is specific to 2D view, in any other view the water displays proper texture.I have never seen this happen before. I am using the Active Environment textures, but it seems to be associated with something else if shift-z gets rid of it.Thanks in advance for your hints,Dom

What fps is your game set to hold? Might be that....with the sound going, it drops your fps, so your game compensates by lowering some other graphics slider...

Thank you Gents,Jim,I did not, it is off as by default,Jim,Of course mate, I meant Flight Environment, but I do have it running combined with your fabulous ASV,Dave,My FPS slider is set at 25fps. Interestingly enough, I did not notice my fps dropping with either voice on or off.Thank you again,Dom

Are you using the DXoverride files, d3d9.dll and the .ini file in your main FS9 folder? This causes a similar problem.John

John,I do indeed. You got me very intrigued here really, as I was using this mod for a while now and this problem only appeared several days back.I'll try to remove them and see if that works,ThanksDom

I also have this same problem and also using d3d9.dll. I deleted it and will see if it still happens. But from the fact that we both had it, I guess it must be that!
