Flight Sim Engine

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I just found this shot of X-Plane addon scenery and i think it looks fantastic.http://www.global-scenery.org/venezuela/pi...nezuela_01.htmlHow is it possible to get such a nice cliff side? Whats the difference in the flight sim engine compared to x-plane that allows x-plane to do this? I hope this is possible for the next fs.Hector

Meshwise, it's on par with FS, the textures are the only difference I can see.----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have. >Meshwise, it's on par with FS, the textures are the only>difference I can see.>X-Plane has had a photo type glossy look to it's mountain textures in previous versions that I really like, although the tiles repeated a lot.If the same glossy textures holds true for the global scenery, then great!L.Adamson

Hector, Im not sure what the diffeence is but I think it looks better than FS2004. I only wish X-Plane had all of the high quality aircraft and scenery add ons that FS2004 has. I too hope this is possible for the next version of FS. Hopefully, we will see a review from someone who has it. Regards, Jason

and a fully functional VC!

Believe it or not but it is already here, see here http://www.avsim.com/pages/0605/AK/AK.htm This is in my mind the best looking scenery ever created for flight simulator. I hope the newest FS alows for greater textures so that those who have the space can take full advantage of very realistic looking scenery world wide.[h4]Randy J. Randy,I read that review and was very touched, by the 'Tribute' at the end of the review of the writer's dog's demise. I have such a dog too and it's really brought back to me the unending and unconditional love these animals have for us.Thank you.Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/

Hi guys,I do not own XP but I do check the registry for aircraft and scenery and generally try to stay abreast of how it is progressing. I saw this plane http://x-plane.org/registry/7391.shtml it looks pretty good. If you look around a little you will see some pretty impressive VC aircraft also. Overall I still like FS9 better. there is no other like it, especially for freeware/payware addons.Merry Christmas!Earl
