December 3, 200520 yr Thought I'd reinstall FS2002 just to check something out. Clicked for a default installation. Everything runs smoothly......or so I thought! Clicked to run FS2002...error..."FS9 something or other dll is a third party program and may not run...." FS9? Eh? That's in a separate folder! Looks at the path for FS2002.exe. CMS GameszFS9... What?! Oh bother. I need to uninstall FS2002 and see what I've done. Try to run FS9. Error Scenery.cfg missing. Error Terrain.cfg missing. What the....!!!Now the question is. Do I need to completely reinstall FS9? If so, do I need to completely reinstall all my add ons?

December 3, 200520 yr Author That;'s what I thought. Oh well, I haven't go too many add ons.It's a pity the default installation for FS2002 didn't realise I had FS9 as well but I suppose it can't recognise a program made after it came out perhaps?

December 6, 200520 yr Hi,This confuses me very much. Did you ever find why the 2002 loaded to the F9 folder?I have installed both and in stalled both at one time or another( I tend to be spastic and wishy washy about which one I want to use) and I have not had this problem before.I too have my games located at C:Progams/ms games.I don't know that you've already started, and I don't know if this would work ,but why not uninstall f9 first since it has a backup.(That's a question people. So don't kill me.)I've found that usually my add-ons seem to stay when I unintall f9 and the program takes mainly everything it put in. I'm not absolutely positive of this becuse I'm not positive about guages. But my aircraft stay. My add-onn afcads seem to stay in a scenery file.I'm thinking that you would be able to see the 2002 files and delete them then reinstall f9.May not work, but maybe if it did it would save you some time.Still, really curious why fs2002 loaded to F9. December 6, 200520 yr Author No, I'm still not sure why it happened but I'm not really keen on trying it again just in case it happens again!I uninstalled FS9 and most of the add ons stayed where they were. Just in case though I uninstalled and reinstalled my scenery add ons like UT and BEV.
