December 11, 20169 yr Hi. I have used a slide potentiometer with 3 wires. How would I now connect that to my PC so that it is recognised? Can those wires be connected to a USB connector for instance? Thanks for any info. Keith Sandford.
December 11, 20169 yr You will need some kind of interface hardware to connect them to. Cheapest and easiest way is take apart a cheap USB joystick, or alternatively something like the Bodner interface boards but you will still need the USB lead etc. http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=94
December 11, 20169 yr Author Many thanks. I think a cheap joystick maybe the answer. I'm assuming I can rejoin the wires from a throttle for instance. I read that the resistance must be the same as the pot in the joystick though. Not sure how I'd check that. Keith Sandford.
December 11, 20169 yr Author Cancel last. I've just purchased the joystick controller interface board. That is perfect for my needs. Thank you once again, especially for that link. Keith Sandford.
