Yes - it does - finally got it working last night in XPlane-11.  Granted - not every button it working but at least all of the AP rotaries and the com/nav do!

 

Install XPUIPC module.  >>  http://www.tosi-online.de/XPUIPC/XPUIPC.html

Start XPlane

Run VRiSim and select "X-Plane Original Aircraft (XPUIPC) and "FLY NOW"

I'm working on a plugin to support the original MCP Combo from VrInsight in XP11. The first version will work with the default 737-800 and it's nearly finished. Almost all displays and buttons work... and it does not need XPUIPC and not even SerialFP2 or VRiSim.

it's a bit of time since I started this topic, but meanwhile I'm up and running my old vri MCP1 combo with the help of xuipc,  xjyomap and the vri serial keemapper. I can assign most datarefs in xp11 for default and custom a/c but am fighting with some more sophisticated switches and rotaries. Danxyz mentioned plugin I would like to get some more infos when available.
