ThunderBay2 and PMDG 737 question

Featured Replies

Thunderbay2, excellent scenery. I have it installed in MSFS2004 and notice two large cone like mountains just off RW#25 . Is this due to me having UT installed? Now for my PMDG 737 question. Where, if at all can I donwload saved popular destination routes for the FMC? You know KJFK to KORD ect? To save me from programming the FMC myself (I'm lazy! I have a couple I did but was looking for more). Thanks in advance.XP Home SP2Asus P4P800-SE Intel 3.0GHZDDR 400 D/C 4x512MBLeadtek 6800GT 256MB (77.72)SB AudigyCH Products Yoke/Pedals USBSee you in the fence...CYYZ

The mountain next to the airport is Mt. McKay, can't really speak to the cone shape you are seeing. I have UT installed without the Thunder Bay scenery you mentioned and have Mt. McKay in its regular size and shape, honestly doesn't look like a cone in real life, or with only UT scenery. I have FSGenesis mesh too and that makes a lot of difference in terms of enhancements. The mountain range in the south area around the City is known more familiarly as the "Norwesters". Check out the "Sleeping Giant", by taking off Rwy 7, and climbing out rwy heading over the lake. You'll notice a peninsula jutting out, at the tip of the peninsula is the Giant. Beautiful area of the province, all along the northshore. Mind you, I'm somewhat prejudiced, I live here. John Haley

From the read-me file of the scenery.........7. If FSGenesis 76m and/or 38m Elevation data is installed, remove or better yet, backup and remove dem75m_usgle.bgl and or dem38m_usgp_lakenipigon.bgl from FS9SceneryWorldscenery folder. If you still experience "spikes" in the scenery remove the file "TBayAir2.bgl" from Tbay2/scenery.

Thanks for the reply (leave it to a fellow canuck). These are no mere hills (I refuse to call anything east of Alberta a mountain!) Here is what I'm talking about. And if this is what TB has in real life, it is something I have to see. :Dhttp://www.virtual-speed.com/stiff/tb2.jpgXP Home SP2Asus P4P800-SE Intel 3.0GHZDDR 400 D/C 4x512MBLeadtek 6800GT 256MB (77.72)SB AudigyCH Products Yoke/Pedals USBSee you in the fence...CYYZ

You don't put each and every fix into your flight plans do you? If you read the manual on the FMC, you only need to put the starting and terminating point of Victor or Jet airways in the TO column and the name of the airway in the VIA column and it'll fill in the rest.----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have.
