AS2016 and P3D 3.4.18.19475

Recommended Posts

hi guys, ive been having problems with AS2016 and P3D 3.4.18.19475

Since rebuilding and starting a fresh install of windows ive been getting P3D hanging resulting in having to do a hard reboot, the most annoying things due to the hang there is no report or event recorded to review the data

ive also formatted the drive and done a fresh install of windows and P3D since having this problem

in the past week ive been constantly getting these hangs/freezes during every flight ranging from 5mins to 30mins into a flight

again today  Ive done a fresh reinstall of P3D after another format and slowly added a addon then conducted the same flight until it hanged

my flight each time was in the B350 from YPDN to YBAS with only default scenery

I started with installing
FSUIPC4 Registered (no hangs)
then FSC 9.6 Rev.7 (no hangs)
then AS2016 version 6197 including the asconnect self installer then I get the Hangs
if i delete the as2016 asconnect that comes with the update, I have no hangs
then i reinstalled as2016 asconnect the hangs return
then I deleted the as2016 asconnect the problem goes

my system
I6700K @4ghz
Win 10 pro 64bit
2x GTX 980 (not in sli) Driver version 376.33
Toshiba SSDs
16gb RAM
P3D 3.4.18.19475

Are you sure it's not being caused by the FSUIPC4 auto save function? Apparently it automatically saves your flight state at regular intervals having the knock on effect of causing pauses with the flight sim application. Maybe the two are not related but worth checking it out as a starting point.
