Speed Brakes and Flap controls

Featured Replies

I have had the 737 NGX for some time but haven't used it for several years, so am just coming back to it.  I use the PFC throttle and electronics console along with PFC rudder pedals/brakes and the PFC column yoke.  These have worked correctly in the past and also work correctly with other aircraft.  I am using the 737 throttle assy with the spoilers, throttles/reversers and flaps.  I have the latest drivers, controls setup etc installed.  The speed brakes and flaps controls aren't operating the spoilers or flaps.  When I check them in the PFC set up console they move as anticipated but are not moving in external views. They are also not moving when looking at the panel view of the throttle assy.  I am pretty sure I have updated it to all of the latest changes.

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I assume you have the hydraulics in the aircraft necessary to operate such thing.  You working with FSX or P3D?  I have a Thrustmaster HOTAS where the slider axis on the throttle controller is assigned to speedbrake axis in P3D, no drivers needed.  The flaps are assigned to a couple switches, one for incremental increase/decrease the other for full up or down.  These switches are caught by FSUIPC which converts them to the appropriate F1-F4 key command for flaps.

Hope this helps.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the response.  I am using FSX.

I have tried assigning them in FSUIPC and did get the speed brakes working somewhat. They are difficult to get set to the interim positions. I also got the flaps working but they are reversed and can't figure out how to change that.

Thanks again,

Tom
