Assign a key or joystick button to the Main Button.... I use the "C" key.

Also assign one to the Secondary Button as shown in the manual.

 

 

Button Control is very easy... it's just a matter of following the flows, and in particular the Capt's flow:

Yes, the keys are working.

 

The thing is that somehow the checklist in the display won't be run. I don't know if I skipped one single item of a previous check, or I did not call ground, or whatever, then the FO won't do his thing?

 

Because upon pushback, the FO becomes inert and I find myself doing everything.

 

EDIT: What I mean to ask is, when in the manual says "Command", what exactly should I do? just check that the said checklist is on the display and that's it?

Call / Command is basically what you see in the Main Panel display box.  Just follow the Captain's flows in the manual.

 

I'm not really sure I follow the other stuff.

 

When you press the Main Button, does the Checklist cycle to the next Checklist items?

 

Double check the manual to ensure you're not missing anything and watch the videos on YouTube as well.

My guess is that I did not follow the flows to the letter.
