A.I. Aircraft and Checklists

Recommended Posts

I have looked at the general instructions for X-plane 11 and have not been able to locate the A.I setting listed in the flight menu to adjust the number of A.I aircraft. Only able to turn on A.I aircraft flights and views.

Also unable to locate any default aircraft checklists other than what are printed on the 737 yokes.

Are these two items problems with the betas?

At the screen that appears when selecting a new flight, there is a button in the upper right corner of the window that shows the aircraft you can choose from.  clicking on that button will show you a new window with a list of AI aircraft active.  There, you can add aircraft, delete aircraft, as well as change a livery of a particular aircraft.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the tip on the A.I Even with your instructions, I had some problems locating the button as I was looking all the way to the upper right of the screen instead of just in the aircraft section.

Got rid of those extra A.I.'s that were eating up frame rates/smoothness of flight.

Now to figure out if X-plane has default aircraft checklists hidden somewhere. They have the provision for lists but cannot find any as of yet.

Sorry, thought I gave clear instruction, but I'm glad to hear you got it sorted.  I played around with the AI aircraft, over the weekend and found 3 to be a decent amount for me, as they tend to travel around you (or at least, what I saw on the map).  As for checklists, your guess is as good as mine.  I found that folder too and found it to be empty.  A quick look here: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/toputilities/  might provide you with a good start.  i found a bunch of checklists for various aircraft there.

THIS may be even better, though i haven't tried it yet:  http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/20785-xchecklist-linwinmac3264/

Thanks Jim for the checklist links. They do not make it easy do they. You would think that a checklist would be part of the default aircraft files.
