January 27, 20179 yr On the pilots HSI, concentric with the course knob there is a three position switch with the labels ST, TTG (Time To Go) and SPD (Speed), and you can select which of these three values to display in the upper left corner of the HSI. The ST position of this switch is for the DME distance readout, but I can't figure out what ST stands for, unless there is a 'typo' and it should be DST. Ideas? Thx, Al
January 30, 20179 yr Author To close the loop on this, it turns out to be a very minor typo -- should say DIST for distance. More importantly, what's impressive is the level of simulation detail the provides a functioning switch on the HSI so you can change the display to distance, time or speed. I had not realized this until recently. Al
January 31, 20179 yr Yeah it's more detailed than I thought... and I seem to learn something new every flight. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
