RXP Invalid License Contact Vendor (resolved)

Featured Replies

Purchase the GNS 530 today for my X-Plane.

Once it boots up I get a message "RXP Invalid License Contact Vendor".

After that when I press the MSG key I get "RXP Invalid License, software license invalid stop using this product and contact the vendor".

Then after a few mins the screen darkens and get this message in red letters "Reality XP Software expired or invalid" and then the 530 is no longer useable.

Reloaded, rebooted, reactivated the key... any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks"

Hi, have you moved the installed files to another computer?

No, just have the one PC and first download was yesterday.

I did have a problem on the first attempt where it stopped downloading during its download of the trainer software, so I waited an hour but then rebooted and had the issues I noted above

just a guess...is it on XP11

No sir. While I have both 10 and 11 on my pc I am only using 10. Have not tried it on 11...

Ok, the error message is related to a failure to authenticate the e-commerce purchase (F1).

It might be that because of interrupting the installation, the e-commerce failed to save your credentials, or some files are just missing. Corrupted installation is something to be expected, if one stop the installer in the middle.

I suggest the following:

1) Reinstall with the e-commerce installer and your purchase key, but do not selected the option to automatically start the installation afterward. This will take care of the e-commerce side of things.

2) Verify you do have a "C:\Reality\RXP-GNS430-XP.lic" file. This is your authenticated e-commerce license.

3) Locate the "C:\RealityXP\rxpGNS2-XPL-Setup.exe" installer. It is the RXP software installer extracted from the e-commerce installer.

4) Run the RXP software installer.

NB: there is a bug in the installer in regard to XP11 install option reported and fixed yesterday in our GTN installer, the GNS update is planned for release today with the same fix to the installer. This issue is not affecting XP10 installer option though.

Hi I'm having the same problem, I already contacted F1 and they asked me to look for an answer on this forum, I already performed all the procedures that you have here and on the F1 forum but I couldn't make it work.
