Usually in that aircraft's texture folder(s).

I installed a different panel in the default 737-400. But when i look to the right or the left i see the VC cockpit bitmap just on the otherside of the right and left bitmaps. So since i dont use the VC for that aircraft, is there anyway to just remove those bitmaps so i don't see them? Heres a pic of what im talking about...Thanks for any help............

The reason that you canot get rid of the MS interior with your own panel is that they are not 2D BMPs but part of the actual aircraft model. Yeuch ain't it. :-(Andrew Brown192029.png

is it possible to edit the PMDG 737 VC textures to reduce loading times and increase frame rates?

If you only use 2D panels with that particular aircraft, you can remove the whole VC with a free and very simple hex editor. Do a search here for "removing VC" or "delete VC" or something like that, dowload the hex editor, follow the (simple) instructions and gone is the VC.Be well!Jaap Verduijn.

nosorry i use VC 100% of the time.

Hi Clayton! You do, but "Ed S Pilot" doesn't. So I was helping him out, and not you (grin!) because you don't need it.Be well!Jaap Verduijn.

You can also just move the VC out of the way so you can add 2D side views.. If you delete the VC, you'll loose your landing light effects at night...To remove the VC, follow this thread: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchTo move the VC out of the way, and retain your landing light effects at night, follow this Thread (Read FlytheSpitifre's post)http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchHope this helps..

That post from FlyTheSpitfires did the trick! Thanks again!Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!:-wave

"Ed S"The easiest non-technie method to remove that unwanted view is to merely edit the 'viewpoint' entry in the acft.config file. That entry should look something like this:[Views]eyepoint=68.50,-1.25,6.75 //(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datumThe first entry controls the logitudinal refernce point. U want to fiddle with this number to 'slide' ur cockpit fwd so u no longer see the ugly cockpit outside.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/136215.jpg
