There is a new release 1.6

 

The following enhancements/fixes

 

• Fix for Top Down View which showed odd looking shadows
• Metar shading is more responsible for first 30 seconds  of a flight to better handle delayed injection by weather engines
• Metar Shading now applies to water and autogen
• Shadows are hidden when paused and aircraft casts shadow on self is not set

Note that Aircraft Casts Shadow on Self is no longer essential for cloud shadows.

 

Also adds a slider to set the cloud coverage at which the metar feature is first used.

 

Note that the version available prior to 23:20 GMT failed to update v1.5  This was because there is a limit on the number of deltas that can be applied - the patching program didn't give an error but ignored 1.5 which was the last one added.

 

If you received an error patching the libraries then to resolve it

 

• Uninstall Libraries using controller
• Uninstall cloud shadows and the fixer
• Reinstall the fixer
• Reinstall Cloud Shadows 1.6
• Install the libraries

I unpacked the download, read the installation manual and installed. However I get this error message:

System error was -1072807676

 

Any ideas?

Edit: I'll try above procedure.

 

Edit 2: It worked, but needed entering registration info (that was expected), and restoring the config profile (which I assumed might be needed), which I luckily copied to a safe directory first, because C:\Users\Public\Documents\DX10SceneryFixer\ got deleted during uninstall (which was somewhat unexpected).

The fixed for top down view and disabled VC shadows work fine, thank you!
