15 FPS in cruise?

Featured Replies

Hello

Currently doing Heathrow to Miami BA flight. On the ground FPS was good but now that I am in cruise my GPU usage is only 15%, usually its at 45 - 50%. Using MSI afterburner to monitor.

Was fine yesterday.

Ok closed P3D and rebooted and seems fine now, not sure why? oh well.

I've seen frame rates drop in cruise, not sure as to the reason but I'm guessing that it is FSX allocating storage to photoscenery at my departure location and then not binning that scenery out of memory when it is long since behind me. gonna test that theory in a short while.

I used to see this frequently where there was an undercast or overcast.  Since locking frame rate to 20 that problem has disappeared.

Hmmm was over the Atlantic and was overcast so maybe that's why.
