FSX Config Tweaks Not working

Recommended Posts

Just curious....Are you expecting your "camera" to have an infinite range of focus?  I don't think I have ever seen a

screenshot where things out in the distance were in perfect focus like the aircraft and scenery underneath.

No, I just want textures in the distance to load in sooner, but my config file is basically broken.

Are you absolutely sure you edited the FSX.cfg file and not the FSX.cfg.txt file?

And is this the location of your FSX.cfg?   For FSX steam edition:   C\ProgramFiles(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\FSX.  If it was placed in default location.

Yes, I am editing the FSX.cfg file, which is in C:\Users\Me\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX

LOD=8.5 is silly... stay away from that..

Just asking for VAS trouble and OOM errors.

5.5 is OK, you may be able to live with 4.5 too.

What you are trying to do cannot be accomplished..

FSX is what it is.
