cargo bay temp controllers

Recommended Posts

Hello Gents,

today I took my LH 747 Pax on a Flight from Munich to Los Angeles. If I remember correct, there should be at least 2 additional temp controllers for the heating of

the forward and aft. cargo section. In the PMDG model there ist only I single aft heat switch which allows to keep the temps in the bays slightly above 0 degress.

There is also no option to get these switches via the FMC menues.

Greetings

Peter

Full names on posts in the PMDG forums please Peter.

There are not lower lobe temperature controls, however you do have some control over the distribution of the conditioned air.  See FCOM 2.20.6

I believe you are correct. For every conditioned lower lobe cargo area, there should be an additional knob on the aircon panel and a flow control knob on the overhead maintenance panel. Having said that, I've never seen a pax aircraft with two lower lobe conditioned zones. Does LH have more than one on some of their aircraft?

Cheers
