We need from each team (if possible) at least two and better three volunteers to serve on the Racing Committee. For each volunteer, this means one or two stints as the Duty Officer during the 48 hour race.

The Race relies on this sort of self-regulation by veterans. The current procedures have worked well over the last several years and we hope to keep them in place for 2017.

Please make your selections (that is, dragoon volunteers) by Tuesday next week so that we can get the organization put together. If any problems arise, please let us know.

If your team is desperately short of pilots, we shall all understand.

I can also take some shifts as a "third officer" from our team, should that be necessary. We should probabaly have someone from the US as the number 2, though.

Yes, we shall certainly need a "third officer" because it looks as though Team FlightSim may be short of pilots (and may not field a team).
