February 13, 20179 yr Dear all, I'm helping my friend to install flight sim. I had a fresh install on the laptop then I started a flight without any addons, the sim is able to load with the default scenario but if I choose a different airport to start, the sim will crash to desktop without any message after I click the "Fly Now" button. No errors indicated in the event viewer. Anyone had this error before? Much appreciated! Edit: Just checked, changing the time would also result in a crash. No addons installed at all. February 13, 20179 yr Author Update: Redownloaded the installation file and it is now working fine! Thanks! Regards, C Schaffhausen
February 13, 20179 yr You should also make sure P3D will always start with Administrative Privileges. Just right click on p3d.exe and select Properties. Then click on the compatibility tab and look all the way down. Make sure it is set to run as Administrator for ALL users. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
