February 15, 20179 yr Hey guys, so, I bought steve's dx10 fixer ))))) So, which settings would you guys reccommend for performance? I would like to use 2x aa. PS, why in the WORLD does my fsx have jagged edges EVERYWHERE? My res is set to max, but something is still wrong... The trikes ropes are barely visible!
February 15, 20179 yr I think we are going to need to see some system specs to give you a good answer. Also, a look at your config.sys.... Also, read Steve's blog for tips and info, and have you read the manual? btw, when you say your res is set to max, try dialing back all the way, and gradually move your sliders to the right to see what you can do to improve image and performance. February 15, 20179 yr Author Thanks! My specs are Intel Pentium G32558 3.2ghz oc's to 4.2 ghz and 8G of ddr3 mem. Dont have a gpu except the intel graphics 4600...
February 16, 20179 yr I have been successful in getting AA w/o the jaggies but the AA in FSX and P3D is broken without some special settings in the display driver. In the AVSIM FSX Configuration Guide (see link in my signature), near the end, I have pictures of the proper settings. They work for me. FSX is an old program so AA will not get improved. Since you do not have an Nvidia card it might be more difficult to get AA to work without jaggies. I'm not familiar with the Intel Graphics 4600 display settings and I'm not sure the DX10 Fixer is compatible. Steve's DX10 Fixer will not fix jaggies other than maybe reduce them. It's fixes flickering/shimmering anomalies found at airports and other textures because the DX10 programmed by Microsoft for FSX/Acceleration was not completed and created anomalies.
