December 27, 200520 yr HI Lars. The other posters have some good suggestions. I fly those two aircraft almost exclusively. I have 3 to add, depending on your interest.1. FS Passengers. You put together a company (like an airtaxi service) and fly passengers around. Not destination-driven (meaning the focus is really on accurate and precise flying not where you are flying to or from) but if you stay within in a region with a nice add on scenery you become familiar with the area and airports, your pleasure grows, and your company reputation and attraction to passengers does too. I own this and bought it skeptically, but don't fly anywhere without it. I used to think more about where i wanted to fly, but now i fnd I spend more time flying between the same airports and concentrating on the efficiently (fuel, timing, realism) of the flight and the destination is not a concern. Plus, this program introduces a whole raft of emergencies, which, althought they don't happen often, really keep you on your toes. My company have 5 aircraft, does regional services n the western states, and have 3 active pilots earning their hours and repuations. If that doesn't suit your taste...2. FSCARGO. I don't own this, primarily because while i was waiting for it to come out I bought FS Passengers and got distracted. But i would. Sounds great. Again, this one is not driven by the destination but by what you must do. Fly to an airport, get an assignment, load cargo using an autogen scenery, take it to a destination on time, etc. I would pick this up ina heartbeat if I knew it was compatible with FS Passengers. Again, though, the focus on providing you with a reason to fly not a place to fly to. Or...3. Replicate real world flights. Goto www.flightaware.com. This is an amazing site with all sorts of things for you. But the option of interest here is that you can type in the aircraft type (BE36 in the case of A36) and see all active and recently finished flightplans flown by that aircraft. You see the altitude, flight plan, speed, time, status (a map showin how far along the route it is if the flight is not completed) and information of the owner etc. I think is is focused solely on North America however, if that is a consideration.just a few ideas that a bit different from the others.
