December 27, 200520 yr I have been using active sky more and more for environment effects, mainly because it integrates with the weather a lot better... but I still think the kind regarding water is Flight Environment
December 27, 200520 yr Hi,There are many freeware water textures out there and many of them are good. The siutation is that it is a pain to manually keep switching them around. So in some cases having the loader program helps. I still have FS Water and have added tens of textures to the loader.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
December 27, 200520 yr Tooooo many options for FE though. I think its to easy to mix up the wrong combination to get a pretty scary texture. Flight1 Water is always nice though, i like it alot, just not the waves. Chase Barnett
December 28, 200520 yr Anyone know of any good brown inland water textures. I've tried many, and they are all too blue. I live and fly in Massachusetts/New Hampshire USA.Thanks,Thomas
December 28, 200520 yr How about freeware water?>>>>>>>>>>>Vilk's Vater, none better. Used in combination with OceanFX, also freeware, which enables changes of sea state, the resultant effects are as good as any payware, in my view.Sea view, that is!MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
December 28, 200520 yr >Anyone know of any good brown inland water textures. I think as far as inland water is concerned BEV (payware) has the best textures.Michael J.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg Michael J.
December 28, 200520 yr Yeah, BEV inland textures are nice, but im not to crazy over their ocean textures though... Chase Barnett
December 30, 200520 yr I installed Vater already on top of Flight Environment. It looks very good. I downloaded the OceanFX package and wanted to know how to install Vater on top of OceanFX package?Does OceanFX package overwrite Vater? Thanks,
December 31, 200520 yr This is a glimpse (Sorry I haven't any better screenshots with focus on the water) Vilks Vater in combination with OxceanFX2, I think it blends and shades very well with the environment, and it is in my opinion better than any other payware:http://home.online.no/~bkmyskja/div/fs/fs3.jpghttp://home.online.no/~bkmyskja/div/fs/fs2.jpgAnyway, good luck with your water-hunting.
