December 27, 200520 yr Hi everyone, hope the hollidays are treating you well, I was readin an old isue of computer pilot and saw the PSS dash 8 and now am considering purchsing it, however I would like other simmers opinion on it. I would use the search function to look it up as im sure it has been discussed but my search function never seems to work :(Thanks alot Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
December 27, 200520 yr WAY out of date. I fly the thing in the real world. Many systems on the PSS dhc-8 are not simulated, bugs still are in the program and will not be fixed. Personally if you want to get a plane of the dash 8 class go get the F1 ATR.
December 27, 200520 yr Ok thanks, thats exactly it, i like systems, ill go check the atr outThanks again Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

December 28, 200520 yr I still fly the PSS Dash 8 quite often. It has a decent flight model, the only problem being a nose-high attitude, but there is a fix for that on the PSS Dash 8 Support Forum, here on AVSIM. It has a FMC, albeit a simple one, and a really nice 2D panel. The Q Model comes with glass ADI and HSI and the regular model is analog (you get both). The VC is not very good by today's standards, and PSS wants to charge you for extra liveries (although there are some freeware ones available).Dale Dale
December 28, 200520 yr Author The PSS Dash 8 is an old one, so don't expect too much. The shortcomings is IMHO the VC, which is not late 2005 quality (like PSS 777, Dreamfleet Beeches or Realair Spit and Marchetti). The external model is AOK, but not breathtaking either. Earlier I spent most of the time INSIDE, so it didn't matter that much, but lately I've got a habit of making screenshots, so I care more about the external model. If you fly mostly 2D, The PSS Dash 8 is very good, and I feel obliged to add that it has given me hours of fun
