Shadow Play not showing up in X-plane 10 and 11

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Can someone perhaps help me with this issue?

I have just bought X-plane 10 and 11. The latest versions.

The sim is fantastic with the additional world sceneries found on the internet.

But one problem there still is. Nvidia's Geforce Experience is not showing up in the sim. When checking record desktop I am able to record it in windowed mode. But of course I also want to be able to record full screen. Another thing is that the FPS counter does not show at all. I tried different settings, but to no avail.

I have Nvidia Geforce 372.54 driver installed.

Any help from the community on this matter would be helpful.

Kind Regards,

Peter

NVidia Shadow Play can´t record Full Screen OpenGL. Since X-Plane uses OpenGL there is nothing you could do about it.

That is a pitty to say the least.

But how do people record in X-plane 10, to make nice movies?

In FSX it is quite easy. But X-plane 10 seems to be a lot more difficult.

Thanks for replying.

The workaround that I used was to set up shadowplay to record the desktop then switch to XP. Should work.

Okay.

You mean start recording in desktop, when windowed mode is on, then turn XPX to fullscreen mode? Hope it works.

You can actually use replay mode to record what you want. There is now the possibility to hide the replay controls so they don't show up in the video.

You should be able to start recording the desktop in fullscreen mode IIRC.
