December 29, 200520 yr I started to learn how to operate the standard FS9 G.P.S. system by watching and pausing the video on it's useage.Does anyone know if there is a video instruction for the GNS530 as well, please?I recently bought the Baron 58 and A36 Bonanza from Dreamfleet, whose aircraft both use these systems.Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/ Dave Taylor
December 29, 200520 yr Besides the internal helps the instrument is kind of (weakly though) modeled on Garmin's 530 which you can access their site http://www.garmin.com/.However the real world instrument you can get with Reality XP. I've had it for years and love it. Wouldn't use the default instrument.
December 29, 200520 yr I don't know of a free video Dave. There is one made by Garmin but it runs about US$25. Have you tried the documentation from Garmin? It's a free download and I found it quite good. If I can understand it anyone can :-) . Take a loook at the "Manuals" link here http://www.garmin.com/products/gns530/ . Once you get the basics down you'll never go back to the default GPS.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. The XP530 that came with your Baron and Bonanza is almost the same as the default (except voice Radios). If you want to learn IFR procedure etc using the GNS530, then ordering the training video from Garmin themselves (its about $10 or so plus postage) is the best option orprint this out.http://www.avweb.com/news/reviews/182453-1.html Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
