I am not sure I like how the new forum treats every entry as a question. 

This is for certain not true in the screenshot forum !

I know we are supposed to let some time pass to get used to a new layout, but this one takes up a lot of screen estate on 1080 screens ! I must adjust my zoomlevel to get some kind of overview.  But probably it is better on 4k screens.

eg. this is not a question I seek an answer for. There is no best answer in this case.

This I would have to agree with.  That button, to post a new topic, is a bit misleading and it compounds itself with features in place that address a question, which may not always be the case.  I suppose if you report this to the staff, they can look into it.

It is fixed already ! great job, I actuall enjoy the new layout now.
