Definitely a bit annoying today having no CP and involved in a BA flyin. Ended up having to use the preset menu views from FSL but agree with all here that we need an offline mode that at least works for a day should these issues happen again.

It's amazing to me how everyone has praised this program up and down and the second something goes wrong (like it or not it is in Alpha) so many are ready to abandon ship (or aircraft in this case),  I too get mainly the weekends to fly, but I'm not that petty to kick and scream and say I'm going back to EZCA.

But that's exactly the point.  Chaseplane is really quite amazing - relative to the competition - and for the entire Chaseplane community to be left high and dry because a server shuts down when people are sleeping and can't attend to it/don't know about it is highly annoying. For that reason, another method is needed to ensure continuity of service.

When you place your customers at the mercy of a server to activate usage on a daily basis - you are moving into service provision and not just selling a product.  Business continuity of your service therefore becomes essential.

Nobody ever said they are 'going back' to EZDOK.  People will obviously need to use an alternative as a stop gap if CP is u/s.  Everyone recognises that CP is very good, but being blindsided with an outage like today - over a weekend - is of course going to set tempers ablaze
