March 10, 20179 yr So my game P3D V3.4 is lagging and having high VAS and I really don't know the issue I will post my specs and settings below, Thanks for help. CPU= i5 6600k clocked to 4.5ghz GPU= GTX 970 G1 gaming Gigabyte RAM= 16gb MotherBoard= Asus Z170-P <<<<< It's when I'm in game loaded.
March 10, 20179 yr Author I forgot to add that I have addons Active sky 16 and FTX but i can't use them all becuase it's lagging...
March 10, 20179 yr At least your CPU load looks toally normal to me, it's roughly the same I see. Core 0 runs at 100 %, that's the one doing all coordination, the other cores do texture loading only and are called by core 0 with ~60 %. Granted, this perhaps isn't the optimum but it's the way the present Prepar3d works. I also think your settings are pretty much okay. Maybe there is an issue with your overclocking which I can't help with as I never overclocked my CPU. Kind regards, Michael Intel i7-13700K / AsRock Z790 / Crucial 32 GB DDR 5 / ASUS RTX 4080OC 16GB / BeQuiet ATX 1000W / WD m.2 NVMe 2TB (System) / WD m.2 NVMe 4 TB (MSFS) / WD HDD 10 TB / XTOP+Saitek hardware panel / LG 34UM95 3440 x 1440 / HP Reverb 1 (2160x2160 per eye) / Win 11
March 10, 20179 yr Author I don't think it's the overclock becuase before I had it even worse anything to do with the cpu %?
March 10, 20179 yr As I told you: I see the same CPU %. Not sure what your issues are, but I get (with very few exceptions) overall stable 30fps (limited by my screen refresh rate) and no VAS issues (that last fact may be caused by the fact I only fly GA planes and have outsourced a lot of stuff to a networked machine). The first suggestion would be to start by a new prepar3d.cfg (make a backup first). March 10, 20179 yr No AA at all? Are you using nVidia Inspector with this config? If so, you have to make sure the in-game AA is set to a value consistent with your NVI settings. What do you mean when you say the sim is "lagging?" March 10, 20179 yr If lagging means low frame rate, then frame rate and VAS are not related. Also VAS is unrelated to your system specifications, it is a value fixed by P3D being a 32-bit application and the amount allocated depends mostly on your settings and sceneries. I suggest you review the AVSIM Guide for Prepar3D, it is a good place to start. Dan Downs KCRP
