January 6, 200620 yr Hello all:I am searching for a Flight Tracker for FS9 that has an interactive map like the real ones Flytecomm.com or AirNav Live Flight Tracker.Does anybody of you know a good one?.I once thought Courseplanner was the program that could have it, but I once installed and could never see such a map, so I am waiting for your comments about the best option for what I am searching. Thanks in advance.
January 7, 200620 yr hiwhat id like to also see is something similiar to what you see when sitting in the plane at the back of the seatswhere it shows you altitude, temperature, speed, time to Dest, Time from Dep etc etcthat be real cool! I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
January 7, 200620 yr The best IMO is Flight Keeper from Aerosoft (payware), It has everything.Edmundo
January 7, 200620 yr Seconded for FlightKeeper - while it's not a flight PLANNER, it does keep fantastic track of your flights and statistics. It will even rate your flight against a set of standards if you'd like (strobes, altimeter resets, landings, etc. etc.) Not to mention that it's first function was to be a logbook - and could probably track whether or not you had to get up for a bathroom break during your flight or not! VERY functional software. One of the few flightsim addons which has withstood the test of time, and has surprised it's users with every update. -Greg
January 7, 200620 yr Hands down Flight Keeper. Tried others (including Courseplanner) no comparison. It doesn't display terrain unfortunately (apart from water and airspace boundaries), but it is so much more than than a flight tracker. A real must have.
January 7, 200620 yr ok. You make it clear for me. Anyway, can you confirm me that it can track flights on a very wide area like a real live flight tracker?. I ask that because I would be very interested on using it as a Flight Tracker for my AI TRAFFIC all over the worldThanks again.
January 7, 200620 yr There are also two "electronic flight bag" add-ons from FSWidgets and Simflyer that feature flight tracking. FlightKeeper is the best tracker, if you run it via WideFS from another computer. Otherwise, I'd go for one of the EFBs.Happy flying,Pat

Since EFB is a separate program, I guess some of the functionality might be achieved through WideFS on a second PC, pls correct me if I'm wrong here. Thanks.
January 8, 200620 yr This is the answer from the developer:"WideFS is coupled with FSUIPC. We do not use FSUIPC to communicate with Flight Simulator so therefore EFB will not work with WideFS.However (I hope you haven't stopped reading), a version of EFB is currently being developed that will work across a network, exactly the same way as WideFS type addons do. This has been a much requested feature so keep an eye out for the new version in the not so distant future."Hope this helps,Pat

It can tell you where the AI is heading, whether the plane is "asleep", its altitude, etc. As well FK can display AI traffic for VATSIM (including the names of the pilots) as well as where the controllers are active whether or not you're on VATSIM.
