Default Scenery Corruption

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have just changed to P3D from FSX after buying a new PC (Win 10, P3D only).

I loaded the sim for the first time and moved to Friday Harbor ( bit of a habit I guess!)

Everything was fine with a clean first test flight.

I then installed Orbx Global Base, PNW ahd Friday Harbor addons. Loaded these and all was fine.

I disabled Orbx Friday Harbor using Scenery Config Editor and suddenly my P3D Friday Harbor default scenery has serious terrain and elevation issues.

Elevated grass scenery lies across the runway etc. see below

Could anyone advise how  what might have happened please, before I damage any more default scenery airports....

Thanks in anticipation

Andrew

I Googled "Disabling ORBX Scenery" and the second post in the search results had the answer.  I'll provide a link below for you.

When faced with a question, I prefer to use Google as it will hit all the flight sim forums at once in search the answer.  Plus I get the answer immediately, instead of having to wait.

Best wishes.

Hmmm,

based on this thread - Can one "turn off" Orbx global add-ons? - looks like I've already stomped all over my default scenery!

And I thought my sim life would be less flaky if  I dumped FSX and migrated to P3D !

Same meat....
