Defaut Lear File

Featured Replies

After downloading and installing an update to me default Lear aircraft I realized that I didn't like the changes that were made. Unfortunately my default Lear file became corrupted when I tried to restore it to its original form.I would like to use my original disks to restore the Lear file. Does anyone know which disk its on and which file its in?Thanks.

The default aircraft are all in "MSGAME1.CAB" located on disk 1. You can open and extract the .CAB file with Winzip. Extract it to a temporary folder with "use folder names" checked and it will re-create your entire default FS9/aircraft folder. Copy whatever you need into your sim installation and your Lear will be back to "stock". :) .I made an HTML file directory of the 4 installation disks myself a while back as well. If you're interested, you can download it from the link below:http://www.cat-tamer.com/downloads/FS9_disk-directory.zipJim

I really appreciate the helpful replies I received to this post. Problem solved. Thanks Again.

I can understand the pain you must feel. I have over a thousand hours in the real Lear 45 and I can tell yo that the roll rate in the sim is abismal. The real Lear will roll much better if pushed. The panel is also oversimplified. An organization called Online Simulation Solutions (onlinesimulationsolutions.com) has a Lear 45 project on the horizon that will knock your socks off.

Happy landings,
