Based on this, I pulled the DA Cheyenne out of the mothballs and reinstalled it. It is an amazing airplane and certainly remarkable for its time.

Given that the Carenado unit has better interior and exterior textures and better avionics, especially with the GTN750 option, I would say that the DA unit can go back into mothballs and I'll happily fly the Carenado version.

Bert, since you have them both, and you prefer the Carenado with its better textures and avionics, can you comment on the Carenado's systems aspects. The systems depth, engine start up sequence, overheating monitoring etc on the DA are very good. How does the Carenado compare on systems?

Thanks

To be honest, I am likely not the right guy to ask..

I typically use the "ready to taxi" mode to start my flights,

and do not spend a lot of time correctly starting turboprop engines

Exceeding torque limits will fail the engines, but that is the only "monitoring" that I know of.   I typically do not exceed any red lines, having learned this the hard way, with the RealAir Turbine Duke

The cockpit feel is mainly what I go by.. the Carenado version looks right, and handles very well - I also like the GTN avionics and the autopilot function.

So, I have uninstalled the DA version and am not missing it..
