Some Fun With Aerofly FS2

Recommended Posts

I've been having a lot of fun with Aerofly FS2. It's really a fun alternative when you want to just fire up and fly around without a lot of preparation time and without worrying about fussing with tweaks and such.

Everything shown here is default, with no tweaks or modifications (to the sim or the images) with the exception that both planes feature a repaint which is available online, with the exception of the King Air which has a repaint that is still a work in progress but will be available once completed.

The Lear is usable (No FMC), the King Air you need to use the flight planner, which is simple, to load the route, then it will auto tune the radios. They are getting better but still have a ways to go. I have made full flights with the Lear without using the flight planner at all, just tuning and navigating old school, and it does fine.

This is not (currently at least) a full systems , simulate every thing sim, but as I said earlier, it is great for just hop in and go fly, shoot approaches, have fun. Graphics are good, performance is substantially above any of the other offerings, I am sure primarily because it is systems light, so far fewer resources are used for those.

I would not recommend it as a REPLACEMENT for P3D, or X-Plane, if you are already fully into them, but as a supplement, it is great!
