CYFB is a permafrost area and has no trees in real life.  Why does ORBX have trees there? I have Open LC North America.

Good question.  Why not ask it over at their forums where the developer will see your question.

i took a quick look around there and there aren't any trees, except where the houses are. i think the permafrost textures around the edges are treeless but there may not be a landclass texture type specifically for north american-ish housing built on permafrost..seems like it's just using the sort of standard medium density housing type texture which includes autogen for trees.. who knows.. as stew pointed out, if you post about it on their forums somebody official can probably give a better answer
